The V-LIM is a successfully integrated ducted fan and direct drive high bandwidth permanent rare earth magnet electrical generator. Traditional open blade wind turbines only operate 30% of the time within a fixed rate of speed. The revolutionary RRW V-LIM hybrid wind conversion system produces electricity in turbulent and gusty winds ranging from light breezes to Class 2 hurricanes. The self-contained V-LIM incorporates aerodynamic features of jet engines with rapid response directional steering foils for quick indexing into the oncoming wind and a proprietary vortex generator aft of the turbine to extract more power from the prop than conventional open bladed horizontal axis wind turbines of equivalent swept surface area. The V-LIM was tested at wind speeds in excess of 100MPH is silent and vibration free.
